Since its founding in 1958 by the Little Sisters of the Assumption, LSA Family Health Services has woven itself into the New York City fabric. LSA provides food, clothing, health services, education, and other services to East Harlem’s underprivileged families and individuals. It’s also the base for staff nurses who assist new mothers in their homes, and experts who inspect client apartments for mold and other environmental hazards often found in New York City public housing.
